The Bee and Honey Park
Created in 2013 in response to ever-growing interest in the world of bees, “Il Parco delle Api e del Miele” (the Bee and Honey Park) is an ideal learning environment where visitors can discover some of nature’s most fascinating secrets. Find out about the activities and book a trip for your class or sign up for one of our open days.
Visits
“Foragers”, “guards”, “cleaners”, “queens”: how many kinds of bee are there and what do they do? What happens inside the hive? How is honey harvested? What exactly do beekeepers do?
A visit to the Bee and Honey Park can provide you with answers to these and many more questions about the world of these wonderful insects and their custodians, but above all it can lead to lots of new questions, such as: why are bees so important for our planet? How can we help bees? How many bees live in a hive? What does the Queen Bee do?
Our Park’s visitor experience has an unconventional structure. The first thing you need to bring with you is curiosity, and the wish to take on the role of young “researchers” and venture delicately into a world as fascinating as it is small. The main ingredients of your visit will be a special hut, videos, delicious tastings and of, course, bees and beekeepers!

Work is currently underway in a variety of areas to expand the Park, but our bees are safe and sound! For information about planning spring visits to the Park, please write to progettieducativi@conapi.it.
