Here at Mielizia, we work passionately to protect bees and safeguard the environment. Our projects aim to raise people’s awareness of the importance of biodiversity, by providing education and promoting sustainable practices. Through real actions, we want to inspire and involve the community in building a greener, more responsible future, where bees and nature are protected and respected.
The Bee and Honey Park
Created by Conapi in response to ever-growing interest in the world of bees, “Il Parco delle Api e del Miele” (the Bee and Honey Park) is an ideal learning environment where visitors can discover some of nature’s most fascinating secrets. Find out about the activities and book a trip for your class or sign up for one of our open days.
Voices of the Invisible
Landless farmers of free creatures, custodians of nature and witnesses to climate change. Determined to keep finding new ways for people to find out more about beekeeping, CONAPI, Consorzio Nazionale Apicoltori italiani (Italian National Consortium of Beekeepers), promotes awareness of the bee shepherds’ invaluable, invisible work through “Voci di Gente Invisibile” (Voices of the Invisible), 15 individual video stories directed by Rosy Sinicropi and Edoardo Rubatto.
The World of Milli
“Il mondo di Milli” (The World of Milli) is an educational project launched in 2009 to help young people to become aware of their responsibilities to their community and the environment, by drawing parallels with the world of bees. The Milli exercise book and website offer families, children and teachers ideas and inspiration for exploring many themes related to environmental education.
Urban green spaces
Intensive pesticide use in farming is the leading cause of the gradual, worrying decline in the numbers of bees, which, by pollinating plants, ensure the survival of crops essential for food and other products vital for our daily lives. 2014 saw the launch of “BEE ACTIVE! Attivi per le api” (BEE ACTIVE! Active for bees), a campaign against the use of pesticides, aimed at protecting the environment, health and the economy.

Approved by CONAPI Bees
CONAPI has created a certified protocol called “Approved by CONAPI bees”, a fundamental tool for formally establishing ethical practices that protect the ecosystem and biodiversity and for promoting ongoing, constant, measurable, monitorable projects.
Organic Honey
A project that informs consumers about organic honey and its production: a type of beekeeping practised by almost 50% of our member beekeepers. The website references the “MIELE BIO – Certo come il futuro che voglio” (ORGANIC HONEY – Guaranteed good, like the future we’re building) advertising campaign and completes it with a wealth of additional information and contents. Organic honey is guaranteed good, like the future we’re building, because it’s created from the hard work of our beekeepers and embodies the tireless industry of our bees.
