We, the Mielizia people, have made a pledge to nature.
Way back in 1979 we vowed to “Nurture Biodiversity”: we protect bees and the environment, aware of beekeeping’s fundamental role in the ecosystem.
We’re a cooperative, a genuine Italian honey supply chain, and with more than 600 beekeepers and 100,000 hives nationwide, we raise and tend more than 5 billion bees, helping to provide pollination across vast swathes of Italy. At our headquarters in Monterenzio, near Bologna, our team works with single-minded passion to give our member beekeepers’ products the promotion they deserve and raise awareness of the world of bees, their products and beekeeping.
Ours is a story of people united by their love for their work and for nature. We guarantee delicious, high quality, traced products, every one with a real “ID card” that documents its origin.

The honey supply chain
Mielizia honeys are the tangible result of the CONAPI “honey supply chain” model, which runs from selection of the areas of origin to production in the apiary, followed by packaging and marketing and sale of the end product.

Actively working every day to protect and safeguard bees has been part of our business for more than 40 years.
We’re aware of the fundamental role bees play in the ecosystem.
We do everything within our power to contribute to the huge project of conserving biodiversity.
We’re a cooperative, so we think not as individuals but as a group, working as a team, comparing and sharing ideas. This means collaborating, respecting relationships and people, to achieve sustainable goals together.
We want to work for the good of the planet, humanity and generations to come.
Safeguarding bees means conserving the future. This is our job. And we’re engaged on several fronts.

Beekeepers
We work alongside and care for our bees, creating the best conditions for their welfare. We were among the first in Italy to adopt organic production techniques, and are currently the leading European producers of organic honey. Our organisation now comprises more than 600 beekeepers, united by our passion for bees and Italian honey. We protect the wellbeing of more than 5 billion bees and provide pollination for a vast area of Italy.
