The honey supply chain

As nature demands

Where honey comes from

Honey is a natural product of plant origin: it’s the food that bees produce from flower nectar and for thousands of years it was the only available source of concentrated sugar. Honey is composed of approximately 18% water and, in addition to mineral salts, vitamins and enzymes, it contains over 80% sugars, mainly fructose and glucose. Honey is a natural product that doesn’t need any chemical processes or the addition of any other substances before it can be consumed and, unlike other sugars, its simple structure makes it a highly digestible foodstuff that provides the human body with readily available energy.

Preserving, harvesting, sharing

With over 600 beekeepers and 100,000 hives, our supply chain combines experience, care and a passion for the world of bees. We work every day to highlight their importance and to bring traceable, high-quality products to your table.

We believe it is important to know the origin of what we eat. That is why we follow the honey’s journey every step of the way, recognising the work of beekeepers and promoting the culture of bees and honey.
